Senior Data Analytics Engineer
Newbrook seeks a motivated, driven and mission oriented individual to provide enterprise engineering support for the full information technology life-cycle of mission essential IT systems. You will work with a team and customer adopting the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology for providing a comprehensive range of system and software engineering activities in support of our customer’s mission. You will work directly with stakeholders and customers to provide data visualizations and insight into the health of the enterprise.
Our Project and Team
You will join a data analytics and visualization team providing insight into the overall health of the enterprise. You will be directly responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and customers to acquire, prepare, transform and publish data adhering to established data governance processes. In order to be successful you should have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Data acquisition from various sources
- Data wrangling and publishing following governance best practices
- Data visualization techniques and tools
Your work will provide government stakeholders with analysis, assessments, and recommended courses of action that integrate all relevant technical and programmatic factors and considerations to meet mission requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to determine their data visualization needs
- Create and maintain dashboards using Tableau
- Prepare and wrangle data using Tableau Prep
- Publish Tableau dashboards to Tableau Server
- Mentor team members
Required Qualifications
- Must have demonstrated experience with Tableau (Desktop, Prep and Server)
- Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality data analytics and visualizations that provide insight
- Demonstrated experience working with customers to gather data analytic needs
- Possess broad demonstrated experience and knowledge in enterprise architecture, infrastructure, applications, databases, IT Services, cloud technologies, governance, and business processes
- Able to understand requirements for tasks to be performed, review and evaluate all work performed, provide direction, and ensure compliance with all customer requirements and policies
- Possess working understanding of agile methodologies for software development
- Demonstrated experience using Confluence and Jira
- 8+ years experience in IT
- Bachelor’s Degree (or 6 years of relevant experience can meet minimum education requirement)

- Python and Jupyter Notebooks
- Git/GitHub use and best practices
- SharePoint lists
- Understanding of relational data structures
